What is NWPRD2?
Northwest Park & Recreation District #2
was created in 1979 with the boundaries of the
Blaine School District minus Point Roberts.
Inactive since 1987, the newly energized NWPRD2
is working with a new mission statement, a new
Master Plan, and sponsoring ongoing recreational
activities and adult & youth educational classes.
Parks within the district include Birch Bay
State Park and Peace Arch Park.
What do we all have in common? A love of the
natural beauty and recreational resources of
this northwest corner of Whatcom County. This is
a great place to live and play!

The mission of Northwest Park & Recreation
District 2 is to provide recreational opportunities,
acquire and maintain sites that enhance our
quality of life, and preserve the natural and
recreational resources of the district.
